• We can take your family photos, plus some short stories (one or two paragraphs per person), along with basic family data that you provide us (names, birthdates, marriages, etc) and create an interactive Family Tree for you.  The cost is $50 for either a CD or a Web Site, with an extra $10 for both.  This is a great way to share your family heritage with your friends and relatives!

• These are full-sized books, either soft or hard cover, with your family's picture on the front, and your family's surname as part of the title.  You provide as much information and research as you can, with most of it coming from diaries, letters, photo albums, birth and marriage data, and personal interviews.  Additional research can be done by us of public and geneological records, etc.
• A chapter will be written for each member of your family tree that you provide information for, with the remainder grouped into a general chapter.  Each of these chapters will serve as a mini-biography, including that individual's basic data, plus educational, work, travel, and military histories where available, plus whatever information that you provide us on their exploits, challenges, and accomplishments, etc.  You control the content.  We will include what you want (within the bounds of propriety), written in whatever style you prefer.
• We reserve the right to edit and exclude objectionable content as necessary.
• No biographical chapters can be more than 20 pages long.  If you have significant information about a particular member of your family that could result in more than 20 pages, you should consider submitting this person as a separate biography candidate.
• Also included will be sections for pictures, a Family Tree diagram, and Funny Stories about things that happened to family members.
• The Funny Stories section can be placed at the front for easy access by children.  This will be a special section that your whole family will love.  Use it to pass down the stories that you grew up hearing, as well as things that have happened with your own children.  Several blank pages can be inserted for you to add stories as they happen, post-publishing.
• The Funny Stories section can also be illustrated for an additional fee, depending on the artist.
• Your Family History Book will be published with an on-demand publisher.  This means that you pay only for the actual setup and printing costs, usually between $400-600.  Up to 5 copies will typically be provided as part of the cost.
• No attempt at marketing will be done for your book.
• There is no minimum number of copies required for you to buy.  This eliminates having an inventory of books.
• Additional copies of your book can be ordered for only the cost of printing them.
• Textual modifications and additions, to update your Family History Book as changes happen in your family, can be requested through the publisher for an additional fee.
• Our charge for writing and preparing your book will be $20 / hour, plus expenses.  We can negotiate a Level of Effort contract requiring us to work only so many hours per week if necessary, to keep the project within your budget.  Many families find that they can make their Family History Book a reality by pooling their resources.  Call us and let us help you come up with a plan to preserve your family's history with your own Family History Book.
• If your family's story looks like it could be marketable, or of significance to the local community, we can negotiate on the price, in exchange for the rights to market it.  A contract will be required but will be different than the contract for separate biographies (click for sample), since this will be for a one-time charge.
